About MemeByMood

MemeByMood exists because of a small, repeated failure: knowing exactly how you feel and having no idea what the meme for it is called.

Every meme library files templates by name. That works for archivists and fails for everyone else — mid-conversation, mid-feeling, trying to remember whether the tired one is the skeleton or the fish. MemeByMood files the same classics by the sender's mood instead: Tired, Savage, Wholesome, Monday, Happy, Sad, Angry and Funny. Start from the feeling and the format is already there.

The library is deliberately small and hand-tagged. Each of the 40 templates carries its mood tags, a when-to-use line and a short origin note, all written for this site. We host no meme photos and hotlink nothing — the cards are descriptions that point you to the exact template, which you then grab from your chat app's own library. The memes belong to their original creators; the organising system is ours.

MemeByMood is built and maintained by Jimmy | ORBITFRAME, an independent front-end developer, and is one of a family of small free meme tools linked in the footer of every page. It is free, has no accounts, and runs entirely in your browser — the picker works even on a connection as tired as you are.

New to the system? Read the mood memes hub, or just go pick a mood.
