Frequently asked questions
Everything about finding memes by mood, in one place.
What is MemeByMood?
MemeByMood is a free meme browser organised by mood. Pick how you feel — tired, savage, wholesome, Monday, happy, sad, angry or funny — and browse only the reaction memes tagged with that feeling, each with a when-to-use line and one-click copy.
How do I find memes by mood?
Use the picker on the homepage: tap a mood chip and the shelf filters instantly, or open a shelf page directly — /memes-for-tired/, /savage-memes/, /wholesome-memes/, /monday-memes/, /happy-memes/, /sad-memes/, /angry-memes/ and /funny-memes/ each have their own copy and guidance.
Is MemeByMood free?
Yes, entirely. No sign-up, no account, no metering. A Pro tier at $9 per month is planned for saveable shelves — coming soon, not yet billed, and there is no checkout on the site today.
Where are the actual meme images?
Deliberately not here. MemeByMood hosts no meme photos. Each card is an original description — emoji, name, mood tags, usage and origin — so you can identify the exact template and pull the image from your chat app's own GIF or sticker picker, where it is licensed for that use.
Can I use mood memes at work?
Many shelves are workplace staples — Monday, Tired and Wholesome especially. Each shelf page notes which of its memes are safe for professional channels and which are for friends only. When in doubt, follow your employer's own policies.
What does Copy Markdown copy?
A bold template name with a short label, formatted for Discord, Slack, GitHub, Notion and similar tools. Copy name gives you just the template's name, ideal for searching inside another app.
How were the mood tags decided?
By the sender's feeling, not the picture's content, and by how each format is actually used in chats. Most templates carry two or three tags because real moods overlap. The reasoning is written out on the mood memes hub page.
Can I suggest a mood or a meme?
Yes — the contact page explains how. Suggestions that come with a real chat situation they solve are the ones most likely to be added, because that is exactly how the shelves were built.
Still stuck? The mood hub explains the system, or contact us.
